Weight Loss Success Story

Trying to loss weight is just a pain in the *$#!

It wasn't always like this.  In fact both my wife and I where both slim and trim when we where in high school and college.

But our bad eating habits caught up to us.  We had to do something about it or we risked all that was important to us.

When I was in high school and in college, I was able to eat whatever I wanted to.  And plenty of it.  As I look back, I remember that my goal back then was to gain weight.

My freshman year, I was 6'0" and a 160 lbs.  I ran all the time and my waist was around 30".  Ah the good old days!

I played soccer for both my high school team and for the college team, so weight was never a problem.

My wife has the same story.  She was captain of her high school cheerleading squad.  She is 5'4" and back then she weighed about 108 lbs.

I guess the picture I'm trying to paint is that we were not always over weight.  But as time went by (I was not paying any attention to my weight), I just kept putting on the pounds, a few each year.

Finally, I took notice but it was too late.  I weighted 290 pounds.  Scary I know.  But the funny thing is that when I looked in the mirror I didn't see a fat guy.  I saw a slightly out of shape guy.

Interestingly, when the mirror lies to you, or you lie to yourself, you can always get a picture and look at that.  The truth always comes out in a picture.

This same thing happened to my wife.  Now she is 160 pounds on a 5'4" frame.  She was not happy about her weight.

About eight years ago we started to take notice and focus on losing.  We tried this diet, that diet, these pills and even some more pills.  We exercised and we always had some success.

But something would take us off our objective and we would resort to living the lifestyle that got us into this situation in the first place.

Ironically, when I would start a new diet, I would drop like 25 to 30 pounds in the first couple of weeks.  You would think that this type of positive reinforcement would provide enough motivation to keep me going.

It didn't.  So my weight went up and down.  My wife had the same experiences.

About a year ago, I started a diet.  I won't name it but it is advertised on TV all the time.  Again, I dropped 27 pounds in the first three weeks.  Felt great, started looking better and had more energy for my kids.

Then, it started to happen again.  I started to cheat more and more each day.  I knew if I kept this up I was going to gain what I lost and then some.

I was frustrated to say the least.  Can you relate to my story?

Well, this time I did something different.  I decided to focus on me and what I was thinking.  I wanted to find out why I was sabotaging myself.

I began to focus on my mind, what I was thinking and how I approached my weight loss.  I stumbled on this tool that helped me reduce my craving, stick to my diet and actually enjoy eating right.

The tool is called Enjoying Weight Loss.

What I found out was that it didn't matter what program I used, what matter is how closely I was able to adhere to it.  This tool provided the simple solution to do just that.

If you get an opportunity to find a tool like enjoying weight loss I recommend that you consider getting it.  It can make all the difference.  Just like it has for both my wife and me.

Side Note:  to fully understand the impact I need to put up some before and after pictures.  I know we have them.  My wife and I love to look at them.

Whatever you decide good luck achieving your goals.  If you can stick to them you will.
